One of the best ways you can help Cobb Christmas, Inc. achieve its mission each year is to become a financial contributor to our organization. We spend over $50,000 each year purchasing toys, food and other items to make December’s Annual Distribution possible. We strive to raise those funds throughout the year with special events and direct appeals to past and potential donors like you.
The majority of each dollar you donate to Cobb Christmas is used to directly benefit our clients. Because Cobb Christmas is a 100% volunteer organization, our overhead and fundraising expenses are kept to a minimum.
Each dollar you donate becomes the equivalent of a $1.60 to Cobb Christmas. Through our long-standing relationships with toy wholesalers we can purchase items regularly at 50%, and even 75%, discounts.
The more toys we can purchase ourselves, the better deals we can negotiate with wholesalers and the better able we are to meet the needs of our clients. Simply put, the more we buy, the bigger the discount we can negotiate. Also, the more we buy, the better able we are to meet the specific needs of our client families, making sure we have enough toys and gifts for each age group and for both boys and girls.
The ONLY limit we have to providing assistance to the low-income and working-poor families in Cobb County each year are self-imposed based on how much money we think we can raise. Help us make sure that no child wakes up on Christmas morning without a stocking and something new and special under the tree.
