CHURCH OR CIVIC GROUP VOLUNTEERS
Cobb Christmas welcomes local churches or chapters of civic organizations who can assist by helping us to provide food, Christmas stockings, and new toys to the low-income and working-poor families in Cobb County who might not otherwise have the means to provide these items for their family during the holiday season.
Here's some of the ways that your church or group can get involved:
Set-Up and Distribution: Each December for one week Cobb Christmas takes over the exhibition halls at Jim Miller Park to distribute all of the collected, donated and purchased food, stockings and toys to our registered client families. Each year nearly 400 volunteers are needed to successfully pull of this event. Visit our Distribution page to learn more.
Donate: We are always in need of financial donations; however, if you are not able to make a financial donation, we encourage you to give an item from our list of needed toys and food donations.
Special Events: Visit our Special Events pages to learn more about the various events and how you can participate throughout the year, including sponsorship opportunities.
Toy or Food Drive : Coordinate a toy or food drive with your fellow members, and include your friends, neighbors or co-workers using these helpful tips. Contact us, we would be happy to come and pick-up your collected items during the set-up period of our Distribution Week in December.
Please take a moment to fill out this form, so that someone from Cobb Christmas can contact you and provide you with additional information regarding volunteering. |
